Provide a general overview of the business/ What is it all about?
CRTVMIND is a brand built on the idea that we are all creative. It’s not your ordinary clothing brand, we specialize in unique handmade accessories and love to have that quality feel with our products.
What made you want to start a business?
I started my business because I went to school for graphic design, but was always in love with fashion, so I felt like this was a great outlet for me to do both.
How has it been balancing a business and college life?
Balancing a business in college is one of the most difficult things I’ve done in my life. I’ve had to make a ton of changes in how I go about my day, and where most people would hang out with friends, I have to make time to ship out orders and make products. Although it’s a challenge, it’s so worth it in the end.
What has been your biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge while running this business is when I get so many orders that I feel like I can’t complete everything on my own, but at the end of the day everything always gets done on time and it’s really rewarding to see every package lined up ready to get shipped out.
What has been the most fun?
The best thing that has happened since opening my store in 2018 was that I had my products in three stores throughout a few states. It’s rewarding to see people take interest into what you’re doing, and reaching out to put it in their stores.
What is your advice to other college students who want to start a business?
If I could give college students any advice on starting a business, it would be that it’s going to be hard in the beginning balancing everything, but it’s rewarding in the end.
