Everyone has heard of one of the most expensive car brands, Tesla. Created by Elon Musk, Teslas are an electrically charged car that are intended to provide clean energy. Gotta stop global warming somehow, right? When Teslas were first created the price tag would make your heart skip a beat. However, Elon Musk decided to create a more price-tag-friendly vehicle which would cost you around $35,000. What's the most expensive Tesla? A whopping $200,000!!! Although Teslas can carry a hefty price, the features and capabilities of this vehicle seem to be almost worth it. The car can practically drive itself. Wanna take a nap on a long road trip? I mean personally I highly DO NOT recommend it and neither does Tesla....but if we want to get technical they do say the car has full-driving capabilities through its autopilot feature. Leading me to my concern...could Teslas take over the world?
If you haven't seen or heard of this show, you need to check it out. Amazon recently released a show called Uploaded. Uploaded is a science-fiction series that shows us what the "future" could be like. The show establishes that when you die, you can be uploaded into a virtual world. This virtual world allows you to have contact with all of your living relatives, and you will stay in this virtual world for eternity. If you have not seen the show, here is a warning for a spoiler alert! The main character, Nathan Brown, dies when his self-driving car crashes. They claim the car had a malfunction. This brings me back to my question about Teslas. Teslas have the capability of driving on their own. What if they malfunction? What if they had the ability to control where we went or when we got out of the car? It seems highly unlikely this will be the case, but what if Teslas eventually become so enhanced that they end up being able to create a mind of their own. Similar to what happens in Smart House. Their house becomes computerized but before they know it, the program has taken over. This idea may seem absurd, but if something is going to take over the world it will definitely be Teslas. I don't know, just some food for thought.
