Best Shows to Binge Watch While Stuck at Home

Lets be honest, with social distancing being enforced by the government, college students are doing a whole lot of Netflix minus the chill. If watching TV was an Olympic sport, we would all have gold medals right now. So why not watch something you have not seen before? Below are some of the best TV shows to binge right now!

1. Schitt’s Creek: This is a must watch! Not only is the series hilarious, but the producers did a phenomenal job casting the show. Eugene and Daniel Levy co-created the series as well as star as family members in the Rose clan. There are 6 seasons, and only one episode left, so start watching this series start to finish because it is worth it! Also, a quick shout out to Annie Murphy who plays Alexis Rose throughout the series. Alexis Rose is my spirit animal #EwDavid (Watch the show to understand the reference!)

2. All American: Currently in Netflix’s Top 10 in the U.S. today is All American! All American has two seasons, but has recently been renewed for its third. Based on a true story, the show follows Spencer James throughout his high school career as an elite football recruit. Spencer James is from Crenshaw, but decides to transfer to Beverly Hill High, creating the beginning of his struggle between two lifestyles. The show addresses a range of topics including relationships, sports, racism, barriers in economic classes, gang violence, and substance abuse. Not only is the show relatable, it is also informative and jam-packed with drama.

3. Love Is Blind: This show is the epitome of a guilty pleasure. It may be one of the most cringey series currently out, but you will not be able to stop watching once you start! The whole show is based on the concept of singles trying to fall in love without ever seeing each other. Most couples get engaged, but who will last and walk down the aisle at the end? It has already been renewed by Netflix for two more seasons!

4. Greek: Warning, this show may cause FOMO. Made in 2007, Greek is about an incoming college freshman who tries to enter the Greek system in the hope that he can leave his high-school geekiness in the past. This series has four seasons full of drama, drinking, and relationships. It’s an oldie, but a goodie.

5. The Haunting of Hill House: This show is based on the novel written by Shirley Jackson in 1959. It follows the Crain siblings, who grew up in the most haunted house in the country. The show focuses on confronting the ghosts of their pasts, and overcoming their demons in the present. This show will never leave you bored, and be sure to keep an eye out for hidden ghosts in the background! Netflix has already renewed the show for a second season, which is rumored to be released in the summer of 2020.

6. Mindhunter: This American crime series is based on a true story and is guaranteed to keep you guessing! The show follows two FBI agents, agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench, during the start of the FBI Behavioral Unit Division. Throughout the series, they catch and interview famous serial killers in the hope of developing a serial-killer profiling for future detectives to use.

7. Dances Moms: This show doesn't require much description. It's hilarious, absurd, and at times downright cruel. You will never be let down by an episode, and can always rely on Maddie Ziegler to win the top of the pyramid.
